A veteran coach of nearly 30 years, Vicki has coached youth, high school, NCAA Division 1, post-collegiate elites, and recreational runners. She is the director and head men’s and women’s track & field and cross-country coach at the University of Buffalo, coach of Checkers Running Club in Buffalo, and race director for the Buffalo chapter of Girls on the Run. She served as U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association NCAA Division I Cross Country President. A former elite runner, she is a 7-time NCAA champion and two-time U.S. Olympic Trials qualifier in the 10,000 meters and marathon, and represented the U.S. in five international competitions. Her personal bests are 15:54 (5K), 32:23 (10K), and 2:41:05 (marathon). She is a sought-after clinic speaker and serves as a mentor to young women coaches through USTFCCCA. Vicki has a bachelor’s degree in physical education with a minor in music and a master’s degree in exercise physiology, with research in running economy. She holds a USATF Level I certification and USATF SafeSport certification. Her relentless passion for coaching comes from guiding her athletes to achieve their best and enjoying the process of self-development and empowerment. She enjoys working out, coffee, music, baking, spending time with her parents and family, and riding her motorcycle.
