Petra is a dynamic endurance coaching professional and 7-time Ironman triathlete, including the 70.3 World Championship. She has competed in numerous other triathlons, open-water swims, cycling events, half-marathons, and marathons, including the Boston Marathon. She is a USA Triathlon and REVO₂LUTION RUNNING certified coach, and holds several other group fitness certifications, including indoor cycling, functional training, masters swimming, and Les Mills. She is founder of Speed Cycling, LLC, a training studio for cyclists and triathletes, which she now operates online. Originally from Germany, Petra is an active member of the triathlon and running communities in Madison and has served as commentator and interviewer for live endurance events. When she’s not running, cycling, swimming, or coaching, Petra writes on-air shows on running-related subjects for one of Madison, Wisconsin’s public radio stations, The Zone and produces her 12-week podcast, Active Zone First Time 5K, which combines European music with daily training for endurance running novices.
